Vandalism by Aurovilians who believe they are above law.
It is no wonder this vandalism was done in Auroville, since Aurovilians do not know the law, and are protected by law from all sorts of crimes imaginable and unimaginable. They have been used to calling themselves an independent nation.
How are Auroville liaison activities managed?
Public funds are used for liaison activities, against law of the land, Auroville being a statutory body under the Ministry of Education. As seen in the previous expose of Francois Gautier going to top officials in our country to seek closure on criminal central agency investigation, and to protect foreigners from drug peddling, flying drones & gliders in restricted areas, let us see how this was managed.
The Auroville Foundation office exists for any kind of communication between other offices and the Working Committee, but this was bypassed by the previous Working Committee by issuing him a letter:

The Governing Board & the Resident Assembly were unaware of this, despite the previous Governing Board decisions to not allow any liaison. It makes for a quasi-government, with a parallel lobby of the elite.
By the emails revealed in the possession of the Auroville Files, it is clear that a few trustees, working group members, and Srinivas Murthy (accused officer) in the Auroville Foundation office are working tirelessly to cover up their wrongdoings bypassing laws and statutes, giving fabricated stories as well.

Clueless of the games and lobbies behind their backs, the people who are protected by this lobby are the ones who get indebted to them and protect them from their wrongdoings. It was noticed, many who participated in the protests against the Government were having visa issues or were beneficiaries of their nexus.
Many in Auroville know that both the groups currently fighting are working together, to protect each other, as members in the current FAMC & Working Committee mentioned in the emails of Francois are working in cahoots. Many know that it is a “transfer of power” not a “clean-up”, given that all economics offenses are not told in meetings under the pretext of not naming and shaming the people.
For decades Auroville has been run by these few who have the power to protect you or persecute you. After years of undue enrichment of this lobby, the others fighting for livelihood, visa, and housing have no interest in interfering in these matters, for their own survival. Subsidies from the Government are used by these few to sell and give on rent houses meant for Aurovilians.
After decades of rot and lacuna of power, abused and disregarded, the mindset of the Residents of Auroville is to live in fear and take care of themselves. From 1973-2023 Governments have come and gone, and all have shared the economic nexus with collusion, eye-wash, and propaganda, but there has not been any action or change. Even a forensic audit of Land and Economic trusts is given a blind eye, Auroville International accounts are in a ghost mode, crimes protected and encouraged, stories spun, no action from Auroville Foundation for years, but only collusion of giving crimes a goodbye under the garb of spiritual consciousness. None have trust in the Government or the Working Groups.
The current Secretary had asked for a central agency investigation, and additional showcause notices have been issued to the Under Secretary ( Srinivas Murthy ), but it seems the Auroville lobby is working its way to nullify all matters. During a stint of the Accused Officer made as Acting Secretary recently, most of the cover-ups have ensued.
Unless the Government of India, does due diligence and shows transparency in all matters, the Dream of Auroville, is just an illusion with events and flowery words to cover up and protect the owners of Auroville, which is known to the public at large.
