Inside story of the Death of Solar Kitchen
Auroville's Solar Kitchen was the prime jewel of a self-sustainable community kitchen, although mismanagement, greed & money has stopped food supplies.
What is expected from Auroville is to give free food and essentials to all villagers and residents alike. Instead, since Aurovilians are more interested in amassing personal wealth, this was bound to happen.
Are so many farms not enough to be self-sustaining? Are the glorious permaculture farmers more interested in selling the farm produces outside, conduct workshops with tourists, or will Walk the Talk? We have been citing seepages in farming for over 3 years and a Central Vigilance Commission complaint is pending which asks for regulation of produces from Auroville lands.
Auroville management should not hide behind flowery words, glorious donation campaigns and live in an air of falsehood. Sadly, Auroville is a place only for money, power, politics, and fails in every aspect of its aspiration. The GOI and donors should look closely at these mass publicized donation campaigns since the donations are seldom used for the purposes for which it was taken. It is used to amass wealth in the hands of few, against the ethos of Auroville itself.
