While 5 other RTIs were conveniently not answered for we decided to ask for more legitimate questions in hopes that Transparency & Ethics is restored in Auroville so that people are aware of the happenings behind back doors. Hence they do not let us speak, block us from emails so that Residents are not informed and they can be the Shepherds to the Sheep exactly how we pointed out in our reports.
The PIO of Auroville says he is completely overworked with the RTI and hence the defense seems to be that we only have 2.5 staff members what can we do ?
That does not absolve the legal workings under the Right to Information Act and a public servant is duty-bound to furnish the information asked for within the stipulated time. Kindly furnish the answers to previous RTIs and the new ones.

The following information is required :
a) Who has been appointed as Acting Secretary and written communication from MHRD for this appointment is required
b) Any reason why new Secretary not been appointed is needed
c) What was the amount that Auroville has received this year in TDS refund and who has distributed the TDS to which units. Was this TDS refund for the development of Auroville community use or for the personal use of the units.
d) Against this refund of TDS received what was the total amount of income generated by the commercial units. Whether 33.33% of this total amount has been contributed to the Central Fund by the respective units or not. Kindly furnish the statements.
e) What was the amount of Central Grants received by Auroville in the past 6 months with a sheet of date of receipt vis-a-vis the amount
f) Was an Authorised Utilisation Certificate obtained before disbursing the Grants and if so a copy of the same is required. Whether the use of this Central Grant utilisation was sanctioned by the Governing Board as per the provisions of Auroville Foundation Act.
g) Referring to the one man committee report constituted by Auroville Foundation on findings of financial irregularities of Government of India grants under FY 2017-2018 certain financial recovery was recommended. Was this recovery exercised - if yes kindly state the statement of recovery and reallocation of the recovered amount during the financial year- if no kindly furnish reasons for the same

The Following information is required :
a) For the tragic natural calamity of Tsunami effecting the South Coast of India in 2004 how many schemes for fund raising for the noble cause of relief for the victims were raised by Auroville. Names of the campaigns, trusts and other sub trusts of Auroville raising the same is required.
b) In Total what was the amount that was raised in donation and what was the expense. Out of the same how many were without receipts and with 80G Certificate and with FCRA tax exemptions
c) Expenses of each element in an excel sheet is required.
d) Are units under Auroville Foundation still raising donations for Tsunami Relief
