While the dynastic families ruling Auroville called Power Corridor have lot of past secrets to hide, the following is the current state of affairs of land matters. Land Board is hand in gloves with land encroachments and mafia in the name of autonomy hidden by Residents :
1. The details of immovable and movable properties transferred to Auroville Foundation (AF) , particularly whether all lands in possession or not are not available, many (70+) title deeds are missing.
2. Some lands are in possession of Auroville as of now, but title deeds are in the name of private individuals, if the descendants of the owners demand, AF will be in soup
3. Many private land owners who exchanged their lands with Auroville as part of exchange policy are in dual benefit. They only exchanged the land on paper but continue to enjoy the possession and cultivation of his own land and the land he got from Auroville as exchange
4. AF don't have exact details whether all the lands owned are in actual possession or not, the excuse is they don't have staff and capacity to do physical verification
5. The concept of stewardship is another facade to enjoy the undisturbed possession and enjoyment by few individuals (Auroviilians) depriving genuine needs of other Auroviilians for housing and sustenance.
6. Issue of Poramboku lands is another story, AF is unable to prevail on revenue authorities seeking transfer of these lands to Auroville
7. All important land related information is with Land Board and the members of LB are not interested share any details with RA
8. Many lands owned by Auroville are in litigation, there is no effective legal cell in AF to pursue this.
These are some of the land related matters, Residents Assembly have no clue on these issues, and the members in WC ,LB are concealing information from community
It is seen that members of these families are always in land board and also do not wish information to be given to Auroville residents
